A long-term high-revving engine will cause serious loss of the internal parts. For safety’s sake, we don’t recommend relieving the original limitation of safety speed. If you relieve the limitation at will, and the car comes to the critical point, things will happen when you just cannot handle them.
What causes an engine to make a knocking sound, and what should you do about it? It may be rod knock. This occurs when the crankshaft journal (which connects the crankshaft to the connecting rod of each cylinder) and bearing collide, which can create a knocking sound.
